The Idea

The idea of “Tutor Shop” was first developed in an English Class back in 1990. The class assignment was to develop an expository essay paper to explain a new idea.  This is where the beginning concept of childcare while a parent is shopping began. But, today, Shopping for Knowledge has a different twist to the original concept.  Today life expectations for many children can create a struggle with school requirements and social support and need.  For that reason, a child may be affected in the area of social and emotional development needed to become resiliency in order to succeed in school and life; hence, “Shopping for Knowledge” is born.
